McCarthy produced a composed and consistent performance, maintaining third position throughout the race and finishing with a powerful sprint to close the gap to second place. He crossed the line with a time of 06:59.07, securing his first-ever Senior World Championship medal.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>LW1x | Siobh\u00e1n McCrohan<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Siobh\u00e1n McCrohan finished fourth in the A Final of the Lightweight Women\u2019s Single Sculls. Siobh\u00e1n was in fifth position behind Austria until the third quarter of the race but moved into fourth by the 1500m mark. She produced a determined finish but was unable to reach the medal positions, crossing the line in 07:37.25.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PR2 Mix2x | Tiarn\u00e1n O\u2019Donnell &amp; Sadhbh N\u00ed Laoighre<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The PR2 Mixed Double of Tiarn\u00e1n O\u2019Donnell and Sadhbh N\u00ed Laoighre finished third in the B Final. The crew maintained their position throughout the race and finished strongly but were unable to catch the Mexican boat ahead. The first and second-placed crews from each heat, along with the next two fastest overall, will progress to the A Final.
