{"id":32407,"date":"2025-08-09T13:53:24","date_gmt":"2025-08-09T12:53:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rowingireland.ie\/?p=32407"},"modified":"2025-08-09T14:19:43","modified_gmt":"2025-08-09T13:19:43","slug":"finals-secured-for-remaining-crews-at-the-2025-world-rowing-under-19-championships","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rowingireland.ie\/finals-secured-for-remaining-crews-at-the-2025-world-rowing-under-19-championships\/","title":{"rendered":"Finals Secured for Remaining Crews at the 2025 World Rowing Under 19 Championships"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>It was another day of determined racing from Rowing Ireland\u2019s crews in Trakai as the remaining three semi-finals took place at the 2025 World Rowing Under 19 Championships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Junior Women\u2019s Four of Sarah Rockett (Athlone BC), Isabella Wright (Enniskillen Royal BC), Cl\u00f3da Phillips (St Michael\u2019s RC) and Anna O\u2019Grady (Athlone BC) delivered a superb row, finishing 4th in their semi-final with a time of 06:50.94 \u2014 narrowly missing out on the A Final by just 0.16 seconds to Poland. They will now race in the B Final on Sunday, 10 August at \u00a007:10am IST in Lane 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Junior Men\u2019s Four of Daniel Crozier (Methodist College RC), Tommy Little (Neptune RC), Richard Heaslip (Athlone BC) and Paul Schofield (Col\u00e1iste Iogn\u00e1id RC) placed 5th in their semi-final in a time of 06:17.73, securing a spot in the B Final on Sunday, 10 August at 07:15 IST in Lane 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Junior Men\u2019s Quadruple Sculls of Harry McCartney (Methodist College RC), Bill Murphy (Cappoquin RC), Mattias Cogan (Skibbereen RC) and Evan O\u2019Byrne (St Michael\u2019s RC) also finished 5th in their semi-final, qualifying for the B Final on Sunday, 10 August at 07:25am IST in Lane 5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also in action on Sunday are two crews racing for medals in the A Finals:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Junior Women\u2019s Double Sculls \u2013 Aoife Hendy (Skibbereen RC) and Sophia Young (Methodist College Belfast RC) at 09:21am IST in Lane 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Junior Men\u2019s Double Sculls \u2013 Jack Rafferty (St Michael\u2019s RC) and Jonah Kirby (Kenmare RC) at \u00a009:36am IST in Lane 4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It has been a successful campaign for our U19 crews so far, a testament to the hard work, talent, and dedication of the athletes, coaches, and support staff.
