The highlight of the day was the Men\u2019s Double claiming a bronze medal, with one other crew racing in an A Final and seven in B Finals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>JM2x | Cian Scannell &amp; Colin Creedon<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Men\u2019s Double won a bronze medal. A sprint finish in the morning\u2019s heat saw them take second and qualify for the final. They were sixth at the first 500 metres but had moved up to fourth by the 1000 metre mark. A strong sprint finish saw them overtake the Netherlands to secure the bronze medal with a time of 6:43:62.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>JM1x | Sam Wheeler O\u2019Brien<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sam, in the Men\u2019s Single Scull, finished fifth in the A Final. He produced a big sprint finish in his heat this morning to take third and qualify for the A Final. In the first 1000 metres of the final, the crews were tightly packed. After the halfway mark, Sam battled with Switzerland for fourth but fell short, finishing fifth with a time of 7:21:20.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>JM4- |<\/strong> <strong>Waters, Villing, Curran &amp; O\u2019Connaire<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Men\u2019s Four finished fifth in the B Final. In their heat, they had a strong battle with Belgium and Czechia at the halfway point but fell short and took fifth. They made a strong start in the B Final but could not keep up with the pace, finishing with a time of 6:31:08, which was an improvement on their heat time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>JM2- | Dominick Cunningham and Darragh Collins<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Men\u2019s Pair finished third in the B Final. In their heat, they held fourth place but could not hold off the Swiss crew\u2019s sprint finish and took fifth. They had a strong finish in the B Final but could not catch the leading two crews, crossing the line in 7:13:20, which was four seconds faster than their heat time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>JM4x | Fahy, Gillard, Morris &amp; O\u2019Mahony<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>The Men\u2019s Quad finished sixth in the B Final. They placed fourth in their heat after a big sprint to the line but could not catch Austria for third. They completed the B Final in a time of 6:21:28.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>JW4x | Guiney, O\u2019Brien, O\u2019Sullivan &amp; O\u2019Flaherty<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Women\u2019s Quad finished fifth in the B Final. They placed fourth in their heat after a big sprint finish. In the final, they held fourth place through the first half of the race but were caught by the Norwegian crew. They crossed the line in 7:06:37.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>JW2- | Aida Hehir &amp; Naomi Robertson<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Women\u2019s Pair finished third in the B Final. They had placed fourth in their heat earlier in the day. In the final, they could not keep the pace of the leading pack but secured third place with a time of 8:16:93.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>JW4- | McEvoy, McNamara, Bates, Fowler<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Women\u2019s Four finished second in the B Final. In their heat earlier in the day, they moved up from fifth place in the first half to finish fourth. They produced a strong performance in the B Final, moving into second and creating clear water ahead. They crossed the line in 7:14:39.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>JM8+ | Wilson (cox), Donaghy, Topping, Bailey, Cassidy, Waters, Villing, Curran &amp; O\u2019Connaire<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Men\u2019s Eight finished second in the B Final. They had placed fourth in their heat earlier in the day. They completed the B Final in 6:05:05, improving on their time from yesterday by six seconds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wsv-ottensheim.at\/public\/resources\/themes\/wsv\/results\/Coupe_2025\/re-sunday.html\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Sunday&#8217;s Results<\/mark><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Well done to all athletes on an exciting and competitive two days of racing at the Coupe de la Jeunesse. A special thank you to the entire coaching team in Austria for their hard work and support throughout the event.
