From closely fought battles to podium finishes, the day showcased the talent and determination of the crews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>U23 Men\u2019s Double Sculls \u2013 Final A<\/strong><br>Martin O\u2019Grady and Donagh Claffey (University of Galway) took 3rd in the A Final of the U23 Men\u2019s Double Sculls \u2014 finishing just 0.01 seconds off silver in one of the tightest finishes of the day. Leading through the 500m mark, the Irish duo powered through a thrilling sprint to the line to secure a bronze medal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>U23 Lightweight Women\u2019s Single Sculls \u2013 Final A<\/strong><br>Sophia Monahan (Shandon Boat Club) delivered a powerful performance in the A Final of the Lightweight Women\u2019s Single Sculls, securing 5th place overall. Competing against some of the best in the world, Sophia represented Ireland with distinction and grit \u2014 a great showing on the international stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>U23 Men\u2019s Quadruple Sculls \u2013 Final C<\/strong><br>Shane Rafferty, Shane McLoughlin, Ciar\u00e1n O\u2019Sullivan, and Donnacha Keeley \u2014 all representing University of Galway \u2014 produced a solid row to finish 3rd in the Final C. The crew crossed the line in a time of 06:01.40, putting in a commendable effort in a highly competitive international field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>U23 Women\u2019s Double Sculls \u2013 Final B<\/strong><br>Izzy Clements (Tara Rowing Club &amp; Edinburgh University BC) and Anna Keating (Shannon Rowing Club) finished 6th in the B Final of the Women\u2019s Double Sculls with a time of 07:13.56. Against a strong field, the crew gained valuable experience at this level and showed good composure throughout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>U23 Men\u2019s Four \u2013 Final B<\/strong><br>The Irish Men\u2019s Four of Fionn McDonnell (University of Limerick RC), Luke Dunleavy (UCD Boat Club), Jack Gorman (Shandon Boat Club), and Sean O\u2019Neill (University of Limerick RC) finished 3rd in their B Final with a time of 06:00.20, coming in behind Italy and China. With little separating the boats at the 1000m mark, the crew held strong in cross-tail conditions and closed out a competitive race with a solid result.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>U23 Women\u2019s Single Sculls \u2013 Final A<\/strong><br>Holly Davis (Lee Valley RC) takes to the water tomorrow in Lane 1 of the A Final of the U23 Women\u2019s Single Sculls, continuing her impressive run of form on the international stage. Racing takes place Sunday, 27 July at 11:26 (IST).
