{"id":12136,"date":"2021-09-09T11:41:40","date_gmt":"2021-09-09T10:41:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rowingireland.ie\/?p=12136"},"modified":"2021-09-09T11:41:41","modified_gmt":"2021-09-09T10:41:41","slug":"womens-coaching-pathway-applications-open","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rowingireland.ie\/womens-coaching-pathway-applications-open\/","title":{"rendered":"Women&#8217;s Coaching Pathway applications open"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Applications are now open for the Women\u2019s Coaching Pathway 2021, an exciting initiative for coaches and aspiring coaches. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The programme gives participants the opportunity to improve their knowledge, expand their network and develop leadership and coaching skills in a supported, collaborative environment alongside coaches from Athletics Ireland, Cycling Ireland, IABA, Rowing Ireland and Triathlon Ireland.<br><br>In 2020, four NGBs partnered together to devise a supportive programme for Women in Coaching. The first year of the programme saw 25 female coaches from Rowing, Triathlon, Cycling and Boxing receive support in personal and professional development, mentorship, coach education and hands-on experience in their respective High Performance teams. The programme was successful in progressing coaches along the pathway and many participants reported increased confidence, understanding of their coaching style and feeling part of a support network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What\u2019s Involved?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>This year, with Athletics Ireland coming on board, we are taking in a new cohort of ambitious female coaches, looking to develop along the coaching pathway in their respective sport.
