The programme took the name of a former initiative called &#8220;Get Going&#8230;Get Rowing&#8221;. Over the five years that the Get Going&#8230;Get Rowing programme has been in operation, it has engaged over 100,000 participants and expanded from a Leinster focused programme to an all Ireland initiative. For more information on Get Going&#8230;Get Rowing visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.getgoinggetrowing.com\">www.getgoinggetrowing.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2019, Sport Ireland released funding for Women in Sport under its new Women in Sport Policy. Rowing Ireland is focusing this funding towards the Sport Ireland, Women in Sport Policy Pillar &#8211; &#8216;Coaching and Officiating&#8217;. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are committed to increasing women\u2019s sustained involvement in rowing as coaches, volunteers, club members, officials and leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>We have developed a Women in Rowing Strategy which outlines:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Where we are now,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What we aim to achieve,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How we plan to do it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This Strategy reviews the current state of play of gender equality across the sport of rowing in Ireland and outlines plans and initiatives to achieve our short and long-term goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2019, we have achieved a number of milestones in our Women in Sport Strategy &#8211; but there is still more to be done.
